Our Trust of Schools

Our Mission and Values

Welcome to Marine Academy Primary, where stars shine brighter.

This website provides you with a flavour of the exciting opportunities and experiences that we provide within our inclusive, aspirational and successful free school.

Marine Academy Primary is dedicated to providing the best education for all, and the brightest future.

OUR MISSION:

“To provide an outstanding education that ensures all pupils reach their greatest potential and live by life’s highest values.”

We provide weekly adult learning classes for Parents/Carers and aim to develop very positive and productive relationships with our community and families. Our ‘Open Door’ policy ensures that there is always one of our team available to answer any questions or solve any problems that may develop. Marine Academy Primary is a place where the whole family can flourish and learn together.

Marine Academy Primary is unique; it is the first ‘marine’ primary school and the first free school in the south west to be graded as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (June 2015 and March 2022). Parents/Carers can have total confidence that the needs of every child, as they grow and develop, are catered for throughout their years in education. Ofsted spoke highly of the teaching team at Marine Academy Primary ‘Teaching is outstanding; teachers are passionate and show a determination to provide the best education they can for pupils.’ To access Marine Academy Primary's DfE Performance Data from www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk website, please visit: https://www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk/school/139604/marine-academy-primary

Marine Academy Primary provides education for Pre-School to Year 6 and wrap around care for our learners with Breakfast Club starting at 7:30am each morning and After School Club ending at 6:00pm each evening, providing a fun, safe and secure environment for children whilst their Parents/Carers are at work.

Marine Academy Primary is a family where every child matters and every child will be able to evolve at his or her own pace, challenged to stretch and develop skills and competencies. The highly skilled and qualified staff team, along with Academy's dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens, ensure that all children aspire to be the best they can be.

There will be no need to worry about the transition point when pupils move from primary school to secondary school. Marine Academy Primary is part of the Marine Academy Plymouth (MAP) Campus, showing our commitment to improving educational outcomes for our community. Children will still need to apply for a place in primary school when in Pre-School and for secondary school in Year 6.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Marine Academy Primary and we look forward to meeting you. The main point of contact at Marine Academy Primary is Jackie Dewey, Administrator. Jackie can be contacted on 01752 213939 or primary@marineacademy.org.uk
